A successful example of this action can be found in the Mining and Metals Development Investment Company; In such a way that this company, along with its other development programs in the fields of exploration, copper, coal and rare earth elements, which takes place simultaneously with the development of the steel value chain, officially joined the group of electricity producers with the creation of Poya Energy Company.
In this regard, Poyaenergy Company started its work in 2016; Of course, it used to be a company in the field of mining, which changed its name and statutes and became Dynamic Energy Production and Development Company. Since the mentioned time, this group started its work in the field of electricity production with Semnan power plant and 24.5% shares of Sirjan Gehran Energy Company; Shahid Bakri Semnan gas power plant development project is one of the most important projects on the agenda of this company and it is also included in the list of 48 economic driving projects.
This project includes 2 gas turbines with a total production capacity of 366 megawatts of electricity, which is added to the previous capacity of the power plant, and about 80 million euros have been invested for its implementation, and competent domestic specialists are responsible for its design and implementation.
Also, this company was supposed to build about 796 megawatts of power plants, the major part of which was planned in Semnan power plant, based on which, with the development of 2 gas units in the second block of the power plant, the capacity of the power plant will increase to a total of 366 megawatts, and in addition, two steam units from The output of four gas blocks will be built, which will produce about 340 megawatts of electricity without the need for gas fuel and with the heat output from gas turbines; In total, about 732 megawatts are produced in this power plant; Of course, the difference between 732 and 796 megawatts will be provided by creating a small-scale power plant with a capacity of about 24 megawatts and another power plant in Tabas Coke Company.Tabas coke power plant is created by recycling the heat caused by burning coal; Due to the fact that the ownership of Tabas Coke is not with PoyaEnergy, it is necessary to establish an understanding between PoyaEnergy and Tabas Coke with the supervision of “Wamadan”; Because the heat output from coking must be guaranteed.
Also, a 10 MW solar power plant was built with 100% ownership by Puya Energy Company and was put into operation at the end of 1401. On the other hand, the construction of a CHP power plant in Shahrood with a capacity of 5.6 megawatts is one of the other programs on the agenda of this company.
It should be noted that the Semnan power plant project is a record breaker in the implementation of such projects due to the delivery of its first phase 180 days ahead of schedule. The current production of electric energy in the country is about 12 thousand megawatts less than the amount required for its consumption, and the development and improvement of the efficiency of power plants is currently one of the main needs of the country, especially in the industry sector.
