The executor of the plan to build 10,000 megawatts of power plants by the mining industry said: In order to fulfill the memorandum of understanding that was signed between the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Security in October last year, in order to provide reliable and stable electricity to the mining industry until the end of 2012, about 2,900 megawatts will be built through new power plants. The self-sufficiency of mining industries will enter the circuit.
Announcing this news, Seyed Zaman Hosseini added: So far, approval in principle has been issued for the construction of combined cycle power plants with a capacity of 17,000 megawatts in 30 construction sites across the country.
In this regard, he stated: Out of this amount of capacity, about 6000 megawatts have entered the implementation phase in seven factories, including Mobarakeh Steel, Gol Gharsirjan Steel, Al Mahdi Aluminum, Khuzestan Steel, South Aluminum, Semnan Power Plant and National Copper Company, and the rest They are in progress.
He reminded: the subject of the memorandum of understanding has been considered in Article 4 of the law on removing barriers to the development of the electricity industry, and so far, out of a total of 6,000 megawatts, according to the existing capacities, the first gas unit of Semnan with a capacity of 183 megawatts has been installed and commissioned in a minimum time of five months. It was connected to the network in the summer peak of this year.
In the end, the executor of the plan to build 10,000 megawatts of power plants by the mining industry noted: Also, 1,500 megawatts will be put into operation until the summer peak of 1402 and the rest until the end of next year.
